Where does the information in the surveys come from?

From the public record: council and committee minutes, staff reports, and the recordings of the meetings themselves. Every survey lists its sources, and the vote records shown after completion link to the original documents.

Are the surveys scientific polls?

No. They are open surveys of whoever chooses to take part, not random-sample opinion polls, and the results should be read that way.

Do I need an account to take part?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Taking part in a survey requires registering. Your individual responses stay confidential: they are never published, and they are never attributed to you. Results are only ever reported as totals.
